We Must Challenge
Yesterday, 28 years ago, a space shuttle accident happened. In the early
afternoon, the Space Shuttle Challenger went up into the sky. But something
was very wrong. The space shuttle suddenly exploded. The people on the
ground looked up and they could not believe what they saw. It was very
shocking. It was deeply sad. I remember the day too, it was January 28th,

はじめに、校長先生からのお話です。一つ目は自転車通学のマナーと責任について、
二つ目は今週の土曜日に行われる、マラソン大会の意義についてお話してくださいました。

生徒たちは、真剣に聴いています。
「スペース・チャレンジャー号は1986年に爆発した。
『チャレンジャー』という名前は今日の私たちにとってよい教訓です。『チャレンジ』精神は今も続いています。
私たちは日々、『チャレンジ』しなければならないということを学んでいるのです。」
